Online Canadian Pharmacy / Advair Diskus

Are you Looking to Buy Advair Diskus (Fluticasone/Salmeterol) from OnlineCanadianPharmacy.

Indications

  • This medication is used to control and prevent symptoms like wheezing and shortness of breath in asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
  • It contains two medications: fluticasone and salmeterol. Fluticasone is a corticosteroid that reduces irritation and swelling in the airways. Salmeterol is a long-acting beta-agonist that relaxes muscles around the airways, making breathing easier.
  • The combination of fluticasone and salmeterol is effective in controlling symptoms and reducing time lost from work or school.
  • When used alone, long-acting beta-agonists may rarely increase the risk of serious asthma-related breathing problems. However, this combination medication does not pose such risks.
  • It is essential to learn how to use the medication properly. Regular use is necessary for effectiveness, and it should not be used for sudden asthma attacks. In case of an asthma attack, a quick-relief inhaler like albuterol should be used as prescribed.

Dosage and administration

  • Read the Patient Information Leaflet and Instructions for Use provided by the pharmacist before using this medication and each time you refill it.
  • Follow the illustrated directions for proper inhaler use. Depending on your brand, use the inhaler in a level, flat or vertical position.
  • Inhale the medication orally as directed by your doctor, usually twice daily (morning and evening, 12 hours apart).
  • You may or may not taste/feel the drug when inhaling; either is normal. Do not exhale into the device.
  • Do not disassemble the inhaler or wash the mouthpiece. Close the device after each use.
  • If using other inhalers simultaneously, wait at least 1 minute between each medication use, and use this drug last.
  • To prevent dry mouth, hoarseness, and oral yeast infections, gargle, rinse your mouth with water, and spit out after each use. Do not swallow the rinse water.
  • Dosage is based on your medical condition, age, and response to treatment.
  • Use the medication regularly to get the most benefit, at the same times each day. Do not change the dose or frequency without consulting your doctor.
  • Do not use other long-acting beta agonists while using this medication.
  • If using a quick-relief inhaler regularly, consult your doctor for proper adjustment of the schedule.
  • If regularly taking a different corticosteroid by mouth, do not stop unless directed by your doctor to prevent worsening conditions or withdrawal symptoms.
  • It may take 1 week or longer to get the full benefit. Inform your doctor if your condition does not improve or worsens.
  • Learn which inhalers to use daily (controller drugs) and for sudden breathing issues (quick-relief drugs). Consult your doctor on what to do if you experience new or worsening symptoms.
  • Understand when to treat sudden breathing problems independently and when to seek immediate medical help.

Side effects

  • Hoarseness, throat irritation, headache, or stomach upset may occur. Inform your doctor if these effects persist or worsen.
  • This medication may raise your blood pressure. Monitor it regularly and report high results to your doctor.
  • Rarely, the medication may cause severe sudden worsening of breathing problems/asthma immediately after use. If this occurs, use your quick-relief inhaler and seek medical help.
  • Notify your doctor promptly if you experience serious side effects such as white patches in the mouth, signs of infection, nervousness, trouble sleeping, blurred vision, increased thirst/urination, muscle cramps, shaking (tremors).
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you have very serious side effects, including chest pain, fast/irregular heartbeat, severe dizziness, fainting, or seizures.
  • A very serious allergic reaction to this product is rare. Seek medical help if you observe symptoms like rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing.
  • This is not an exhaustive list of possible side effects. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you notice other effects not mentioned here.

Precautions

  • Before using this product, inform your doctor or pharmacist about any allergies you may have, especially to fluticasone or salmeterol.
  • Share your medical history, particularly current/past infections, high blood pressure, bone loss, heart disease, overactive thyroid, diabetes, eye problems, seizures, or liver disease, with your doctor or pharmacist before using this medication.
  • Salmeterol may cause QT prolongation, a condition affecting the heart rhythm. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms like fast/irregular heartbeat or severe dizziness.
  • Inform your doctor about all the medications you take and any medical conditions you have, especially certain heart problems or a family history of such problems.
  • Discuss with your doctor the safe use of this medication if you have low levels of potassium or magnesium in your blood, use diuretics, or experience conditions like severe sweating, diarrhea, or vomiting.
  • This medication may mask signs of infection, making you more susceptible to infections. Avoid contact with individuals who have contagious infections, and inform your doctor if you are exposed to an infection.
  • If you have recently switched from an oral corticosteroid or used this inhaler in higher-than-usual doses, your body may have difficulty responding to physical stress. Notify your healthcare provider before surgery or emergency treatment.

  • Prolonged use of this medication in children may temporarily slow down growth. Regularly monitor the child’s height and attend doctor appointments.
  • During pregnancy, use this medication only when necessary, after discussing the risks and benefits with your doctor.
