Indications
- Dicyclomine treats irritable bowel syndrome.
- Reduces symptoms of stomach and intestinal cramping.
- Slows natural gut movements, relaxes stomach and intestinal muscles.
- Belongs to anticholinergics/antispasmodics drug class.
- Not for use in children under 6 months due to serious side effects.
Dosage and administration
- Take medication orally, with or without food, as directed (usually 4 times a day).

- Avoid taking antacids simultaneously, take antacids after meals and dicyclomine before meals.

Side effects
