With your eyes closed, press the inner corner of your eyes. Doing so helps prevent the solution from entering your throat and circulation. Do not blink; you may pat dry the excess solution in the surrounding area of the eye. After instilling the medication, make sure to wash your hands. Wait at least five minutes before using other eye medications.
If you need to use more than one drop, repeat these procedures. Meanwhile, if you are still using other ophthalmic medicine, wait for at least five minutes before applying it. Avoid abrupt discontinuation and do not use this drug in the mouth.
