Indications
- Lokelma is prescribed to treat high levels of potassium in the blood, also known as hyperkalemia.
- It works by binding to potassium in the intestines, preventing its absorption into the bloodstream and helping the body to eliminate excess potassium through bowel movements.
- Lokelma is used when dietary measures alone are insufficient to control high potassium levels.
- Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully regarding the dosage and duration of treatment with Lokelma.
Dosage and administration
- Take Lokelma exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- It is usually taken by mouth with or without food.
