Indications
- This product is employed to diminish swelling of the surface of the eye (cornea) in specific eye conditions.
- Reducing corneal swelling can alleviate eye discomfort or irritation resulting from the swelling.
- The mechanism of action involves drawing fluid out of the cornea, thereby reducing swelling.
Dosage and administration
- Adhere to all instructions provided on the product package. If prescribed by your doctor, utilize this medication in the affected eye(s) as instructed.
- Remove contact lenses before applying eye ointments. Wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting your contact lenses.
- Before applying eye ointment, wash your hands thoroughly. To prevent contamination, avoid touching the tube tip or letting it come into contact with your eye or any other surface. Rolling the ointment tube in your hands for a minute facilitates smoother flow. Tilt your head back, look upward, and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a pouch. Place a 1/4-inch (0.6-centimeter) strip of ointment into the pouch. Close the eye gently and move the eyeball in all directions to distribute the medication. Avoid blinking and refrain from rubbing the eye.
- If directed, repeat the aforementioned steps for the other eye. Wipe the tip of the ointment tube with a clean tissue to remove excess medication before recapping it.
- If using other types of eye medication (such as drops or ointments), wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before applying additional medications. Administer eye drops before eye ointments to facilitate entry into the eye.
- Allow several minutes for your vision to clear before driving or operating machinery.
- This product is recommended for use under the guidance of a doctor. Seek immediate medical assistance if your condition deteriorates, persists for more than 3 days, or if you suspect a serious medical issue.
