What is it used for?
Onglyza (saxagliptin) is a diabetic medication that helps to keep blood sugar levels in control. It works by controlling the amount of insulin produced by your body after you eat.
In people with type 2 diabetes mellitus, this is used in conjunction with diet and exercise to enhance blood sugar management.
Treatment for type 1 diabetes is not approved.
It is at times used in conjunction with other diabetic medicines.

Januvia vs Onglyza

Runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, headache, or stomach pain are all common side effects of Januvia and Onglyza. Januvia has distinct side effects than Onglyza, including back discomfort, joint or muscle pain, nausea, diarrhea, or constipation. Cough is one of Onglyza’s distinct side effects from Januvia.
