Indications
- This combination of three medications is utilized to alleviate heartburn and other symptoms resulting from excessive stomach acid (acid indigestion).
- Famotidine is a medication that inhibits acid release in the stomach, thereby aiding in the prevention of heartburn and acid indigestion recurrence.
- Calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide function as antacids, acting swiftly to decrease acid levels in the stomach and alleviate heartburn.
Dosage and administration
- Chew one tablet completely and swallow as necessary to alleviate or prevent the symptoms of heartburn and indigestion, or as directed by your doctor. Do not swallow the tablets whole.
- Refrain from consuming more than 2 tablets within a 24-hour period. Adhere to all instructions provided on the product packaging. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any inquiries.
- This product contains an antacid that may interact with other medications, potentially hindering their full absorption by your body. Discuss with your doctor or pharmacist how to schedule your medications to mitigate this issue.
- Discontinue use of this medication and promptly contact your doctor if your symptoms persist after initiating treatment, or if they fail to improve after 14 consecutive days of medication. Do not exceed 14 days of continuous use without consulting your doctor.
Side effects
- Possible side effects of this medication may include diarrhea, headache, constipation, or stomach cramps. Notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly if any of these effects persist or worsen.
- If your doctor has prescribed this medication, it’s because they believe the benefits outweigh the risks of side effects. Many individuals using this medication do not experience serious side effects.
- Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any serious side effects, such as easy bruising/bleeding, signs of infection (e.g., persistent sore throat, fever, chills), or mental/mood changes (e.g., restlessness, confusion, depression, hallucinations).
- Seek medical assistance promptly if you encounter very serious side effects, including fast/slow/irregular heartbeat, severe dizziness, fainting, or seizures.
- Although rare, a severe allergic reaction to this drug can occur. Seek immediate medical help if you notice symptoms such as rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), or difficulty breathing.

Precautions
- Before using this product, inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to famotidine, other H2 blockers (such as cimetidine, ranitidine), or other antacids containing calcium/magnesium. Also, disclose any other allergies you have, as this product may contain inactive ingredients that could trigger allergic reactions or other issues. Consult your pharmacist for further details.
- If you have kidney problems, liver problems, or other stomach issues (such as tumors), consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product.
- Certain symptoms may indicate a more serious condition. Seek medical help immediately if you experience heartburn accompanied by lightheadedness, sweating, or dizziness, or if you have chest/jaw/arm/shoulder pain, especially with shortness of breath or unusual sweating. Unexplained weight loss should also prompt immediate medical attention.
- Before self-treating with this medication, seek medical help if you experience trouble or pain swallowing food, bloody vomit, vomit resembling coffee grounds, bloody/black stools, heartburn lasting over 3 months, frequent chest pain, frequent wheezing (especially with heartburn), nausea/vomiting, or stomach pain.
- Do not administer this medication to children under 12 years old unless directed by a doctor.
- Older adults may be more susceptible to the side effects of this drug, particularly mental/mood changes (such as confusion), seizures, or unusual tiredness.
- During pregnancy, use this medication only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor and inform them if you are pregnant before using this medication.
- This drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
